What is "Web Marketing"?

Well my definition is straight forward: it's simply marketing using the most powerful, cost effective medium the World Wide Web. Essentially communicating your product or service to the entire world, to help achieve an ROI. But the power of the Internet provides a business so much more than that, and that's where it pays to have marketing trained web specialists to help you stay untangled in the Web.

Modern day websites need to be built with many aspects taken into consideration. But each website must start with an obective - I ask you "what are you trying to achieve with this site?" This is the crucial first step. Then you need to consider your target market and design a site towards that in terms of look and feel, colors, fonts, images - is your user demographic explorers?

Search Engine Optimization, keywords, page titles, page descriptions, H tags, analytics, web goals, Flash animation, video streaming, social networking... Have I lost you yet? Optimized images, site structure, sitemaps, robots...
