Outside These Walls

I am a very keen sportsman, and I was privileged enough to get to play football (soccer) as a career, until injury got the better of me. I am an avid Manchester United supporter and am still holding out hope that I will see England win the World Cup again!

I am also a keen golfer, I also started playing that game at around 15 years of age and still like to get out on the glorious courses of Georgia and beyond. When golfing I definitely feels that looking the part is important and I do try and tone down my competitive spirit!!

I am also a big fan of the Miami Dolphins. I attended the first NFL game held outside of the US at Wembley Stadium which was the Chicago Bears against the Dallas Cowboys and I went to another game 2 years later in 1988, which pitted Dan Marino against Joe Montana. The Dolphins won with a last minute touchdown and the hook for the 'Fish' was set!

Keeping my passion for animals, my wife and I are a foster home for Atlanta Doberman Rescue and we have so far helped to re-home over 30 different Dobies with varying backgrounds. It is such a satisfying thing for us to do. These dogs come to us and seem so grateful to just be safe with food and water inside them - if you throw in an ear rub and a hug, they become your best friend! It is tough giving them up, but we have 2 of our own and they are a great foster brother and sister for them. Knowing they are going to a new loving ‘forever’ home and the happiness they bring, gives great satisfaction knowing you are doing something for such wonderful, noble animals that can’t help themselves.
